South Madison – South Madison Community School Corp. introduced a new three-year contract for Superintendent Joe Buck Thursday, July 10, at the school board’s regularly scheduled meeting.

The proposed contract – which includes a base annual salary of $115,326 – was introduced after positive comments from the board on Buck’s performance during the past three years.

“I’m absolutely proud of everything he’s done,” board member Amy McGinnis said. “Mr. Buck has done a great job.”

“As one who’s lived through three superintendents since I’ve been on the board, I can say that working with Joe has been a breeze,” board member Buck Evans said.
