Students to see ‘Beauty’, ‘Beast’

Pendleton

The East Elementary School student body will travel to PHHS Thursday, March 15, to see the high school performance of “Beauty and the Beast.”

No permission slips will be issued since it is an all school event. Buses will leave EES at about 8:45 a.m. March 15 and return at about 10:45 a.m.

Science fair competitor advances

Pendleton

After placing first at the Pendleton Elementary Science Fair, Bailey Miles moved on to the regional Science Fair with her study of the Triclosan in the Pendleton Water Treatment Plant.

Her project earned her a first-place blue ribbon in the environmental sciences junior division, best junior presentation, first-place junior division for Environmental Science by Ball State University, an invitation to the Hoosier State Science Fair, an invitation to compete in the Broad-com Masters National Science Fair, and the Indiana Water Association Water Crusader Award.

PES fourth-grade Vincennes parent meeting planned

Pendleton

For Pendleton Elementary School parents who were notified they are going on the Vincennes Field Trip with fourth grade, a meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14.

The meeting is planned for the library. Trip expectations and duties will be discussed. Parents should call their child’s teachers for more details.
