Lapel - The Frankton-Lapel Community School Corp. recently received a $30,000 state grant to aid with bringing technology updates to students.
Superintendent Bobby Fields said he was pleased to receive the grant and that it will be put to good use.
“In this kind of economy, it helps to get any funding,” Fields said. “It feels really good to get this kind of help.”
Assistant Superintendent Sterling Boles, who helped write the grant application, said he felt very lucky to be one of the 20 schools selected.
“There were 103 applications for the grant,” Boles said. “We were very lucky to be one of the few schools chosen.”
