Pendleton - Every year thousands of students from all over the world come to the United States as part of an exchange program. Every year, a few spend their exchange year at Pendleton Heights. When they apply to the programs, they have no idea where they will end up or with whom or even what activities will be available to them.

Knowing that, Stephanie Achermann, from Alstaetten, Switzerland signed on for her adventure in the United States. Achermann had been swimming in her native country since she was 7 years old, but was not guaranteed that her placement in the U.S would be a school that had a swim team. Fortunately for Achermann, and also fortunately for Pendleton Heights, the Arabians have one.
