Pendleton - For the second year in a row, the Kiwanis Kar Show will take place in memory of one of the group’s late members.

This is the third year for the show, which will take place in Falls Park July 12. Event organizers said the automobile and motorcycle show originally was started by Neal Shull, who was shot and killed in Pendleton two years ago. It’s in his memory that the show is held now.

“This is the third annual event, but our second year without Neal,” car show organizer and Kiwanis member Todd Hare said. “He was shot shortly after the first one, which he started and headed up because he wanted to bring something great to Pendleton.”

He said the group hopes to bring more than 150 cars to the park.
