Pendleton - The Town of Pendleton is moving forward with the possible formation of a Department of Storm Water Management and recently gave approval to continue with engineering costs associated with the move.
“We have been authorized to move forward,” town manager Doug McGee said. “In our case, the Department of Storm Water Management would investigate, categorize and map our storm water system, plan upgrades and ensure our compliance with federal guidelines.”
McGee said the town has held out for as long as possible as it has confronted water issues at several locations in town.
“This is something we’ve put off for as long as we can,” McGee said. “We’ve been absorbing those costs into the street budget, and it’s just not possible to do that anymore.”
