Pendleton - Pendleton has opened bidding to update both water towers in town and could even change their appearance.

Interim Town Manager Tim McClintick said the town intended to advertise a notice to bidders this week and would hold a pre-bid conference next month.

According to the advertisement, the town will be accepting bids until 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21.

The town is seeking “sealed bids for the …. 300,000 and 500,000 gallon elevated storage tanks rehabilitation project, consisting of removal and replacement of interior and exterior coating systems, along with miscellaneous tank rehabilitation,” the advertisement states.”

McClintick said the rehabilitation of the water tanks is regulated by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and was expected by the town.
