Pendleton - The Pendleton YMCA, which opened in fall of last year, has teamed up with a veteran instructor and is now offering tae kwon do classes for all ages.

Glen Handzlik has been teaching the specialized form of martial arts for close to 28 years and after recently moving to Pendleton, wanted to start classes in the area.

“I’ve been doing this since August of 1984,” Handzlik said. “I’ve run many schools, and I do it because I love it and because I have so much fun with it.”

After taking a year off from teaching, Handzlik said he’s ready to teach again and is excited for the classes at the YMCA.
