Pendleton - With an impressive 10-2-1 season record, the Pendleton Heights girls swimming and diving team will go into this week’s sectional at Hamilton Southeastern with strong athletes and high hopes of advancing several to state competition.

However, the Arabians have the honor of being in one of the toughest swimming sectionals in the area. They will have to battle fifth-ranked Hamilton Southeastern and 11th-ranked Fishers.

Coach Jeff Maydak said he feels the Arabian relay teams are strong.

“Two of our three relays are pretty strong. A lot depends on what Yorktown does,” Maydak said. “They can really dictate what happens, but our freestyle relays are competitive.”
