Lapel - Lapel’s wrestling team finished sixth of seven teams Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Madison County meet at Pendleton Heights, but it wasn’t as disappointing as it would seam.

That’s because the Bulldogs only had nine wrestlers compete and had to forfeit five weight classes. Lapel scored 116 points to first place PH’s 279.

“Two broke through varsity this week because our other kids are injured, and they didn’t really have any mat time,” Lapel coach Jeff Commeville said. “That’s five kids that are really, really young, and they’re getting valuable experience.”
