Pendleton — Pendleton Heights boys track squad sought a three-peat in the Madison County meet Friday, April 18, but nothing was guaranteed for the Arabians.

The young Arabians had to fend off always-strong Anderson and upstart Lapel, but PH pulled through in the final race and took home another trophy.

PH scored 156.5 points to Lapel’s 148.5 and Anderson’s 143.5, with the Arabians winning six events.

Not only did PH clinch the meet with its win in the 4x400-meter relay, it did so in county-record time. Zach Taylor, Kaid Hutchinson and Chandler and Ashton Wilson stopped the timer in 3:29.30 seconds, one second lower than the previous mark.
