Markleville - The Markleville Tractor Pull, one of three pulls this summer, took place this weekend at the Markleville Community Park. On Saturday, June 15 more than 40 antique tractors, all built before 1958, headed to the specially built track for the day-long event. Event organizer Ron Peavler said there were 174 hooks made, each costing $20. The family-friendly event attracted dozens of farmers, families and friends from inside and outside the community to see just how far their tractors could pull. The next pull is set for Aug. 3.
