Lorene Collins, 94, Lapel, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at her home. She was born April 24, 1916, in Madison County, Ind. to Alva and Mary (Teeters) Rich.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Alfred) Alyne of McCordsville, and Sue (John) Norris of Lapel; one granddaughter; one greatgranddaughter; sister, Kathleen Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.; and brother, Abs (Velma) Rich of Lapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Everett Coverdale; second husband, Edward J. Collins; brother, Cassel Rich; and sister, Margaret Whetstone.

Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel. A funeral service was set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel, with Pastor Steve Holdzkom officiating. Burial was to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
