Stanley J. Sibera, 86, of Pendleton passed away May 28, 2011, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1925, in Anderson and was a Pendleton resident for 52 ½ years.

He was employed at Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson in the Sales, Service and Advertising Department for 42 glorious years retiring in 1985. He was a 1942 graduate of Anderson High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pendleton. Stanley enjoyed being a handyman and loved to be with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Harriett (Stephens) Sibera whom he married Nov. 22, 1958; daughter, Jane (Ken) Lewis of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Marcie Downing, Martin Downing, and Scott (Nicole) Downing; three great grandsons, Emerson, Davis, and Nicklaus Downing; and four nieces, Nancy Crist, Lou Ann Jameson, Karen Williams, and Diana Hindel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Catherine (Hosek) Sibera; and two sisters, Pauline Dovey and Lillian Hood.

Visitation was from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. Burial followed in Grove Lawn Cemetery.
