Donut shop celebrates anniversary

PENDLETON — Quack Daddy Donuts celebrated its one-year anniversary Saturday, Jan. 21.

The shop gave away free donuts and had a contest to see who could guess how many donuts Quack Daddy sold in one year.

Chad Friend guessed the closest and received a dozen free donuts, and Stephen Cohen was runner-up and received a half-dozen free donuts.

The correct answer is 240,134 donuts. Other totals: 11,931 chocolate milks were sold, and there were 37,773 cash register transactions.

With the support of the community, Quack Daddy Donuts has donated 1,000 cereal boxes to Haiti. The boxes are used to make beads, necklaces and bracelets.

Quack Daddy sells the items in the shop for Nehemiah Vision Ministries and has sent $1,000 to the Haiti mission.

Quack Daddy and the community also raised and donated about $700 to the victims in the Orlando shooting.
