David Lee Hendricks, 72 of Athens, Alabama, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at his home following an extended illness. He was born June 12, 1944, in Anderson, Indiana, to Herman and Eva (Sturdevant) Hendricks.
David is survived by his best friend, Lynn Ryan; two brothers, Bill (Diane) Hendricks and Myron (Kathy) Hendricks; a sister-in-law, Norma “Pee Dad” Hendricks; and his beloved dog, Lady (Butter Bean).
He was preceded in death by son Todd Hendricks; brother Harry Hendricks; and sister Norma Snyder.
A graveside service took place at 1 p.m. Feb. 15, at Brookside Cemetery, 2900 Brookside Road, Lapel, with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating; burial followed.
