CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Lapel Bulldogs took advantage of Eastern Hancock miscues to hand the Royals a 5-3 loss Monday, April 17.

Lapel (4-2) scored three unearned runs thanks to five Eastern Hancock fielding errors. Junior Levi Frazier doubled, singled, drove in one run and scored twice, and junior Satchell Wilson drove in another run with a sacrifice fly.

Sophomore Seth Baugh started for the Bulldogs and held Eastern Hancock (5-4) in check through the first four innings, but RBI from Devin Denny and A.J. Muegge helped the Royals score three times in the fifth.

Frazier pitched the final two innings, allowing just one hit to pick up the save. Baugh struck out nine and walked none during his five innings.

Senior John Sherwood added two hits for the Bulldogs.
