MARION — The Lapel golfers took part in the 10-team Eastbrook Invitational Saturday, April 22, at Arbor Trace Golf Club in Marion.

Behind top finishes from Joe Cantrell and Ian Vipperman, the Bulldogs came away with a second-place finish.

Cantrell fired a 79, good enough to finish in the top five, and Vipperman also made the top 10 with an 81 as Lapel posted a team score of 346.

Marion won the event with a team score of 321, while Eastbrook was third at 349.

Logan McAtee shot an 89 and Jackson Fetty came in with a 97 to round out the Bulldog scoring.

Lapel will take part in the Canterbury Invitational Saturday, April 29.
