PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights tennis fell to conference rival and state tennis power Delta Wednesday by a 5-0 score.

Sam Hammel’s unbeaten streak came to an end at No. 1 singles as she fell to Ellie Snider 6-4, 6-1. The senior is now 13-1 on the season.

Grace Belanger of Delta blanked Bailey Davis 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match while Gracie Criswell fell to Mayzie Hinkle 6-2, 6-0 in the third singles match.

The Arabian doubles teams struggled to get any footing against the Eagles as well. Sisters Gabby Kramer and Susie Kramer lost to Emma Snider and Abby Shafer in the No. 1 match 6-1, 6-1, and the recent run of success for Brielle Boynton and Claire Goodwin at No. 2 doubles came to a halt as they were beaten by Lexie Manor and Kortney Helm 6-0, 6-1.

The Arabians will host Elwood today and conference foe New Palestine Friday, with both matches scheduled to get underway at 4:30 p.m.
