PENDLETON — A Pendleton man was arrested on 36 felony charges April 12 after an investigation into the possession of child pornography, child exploitation and promotion of human trafficking of a minor, according to the Indiana State Police.

Jeffrey Kramer, 48, of Pendleton was arrested on one count of Level 3 felony promotion of human trafficking of a minor; two counts of Level 4 child exploitation; three counts of Level 5 child exploitation and 30 counts of Level 6 felony possession of child pornography.

The promotion of human trafficking of a minor charge stems from Kramer allegedly grooming an underage female that he met on a dating website to meet for a future sexual encounter.

The investigation began in late January when detectives at the Pendleton District received an anonymous tip.

The other charges stem from images in Kramer’s possession of the same juvenile victim, who is under age 18 and resides in another state.

The investigation remains ongoing with further charges possible.
