‘Christmas in Pendleton’ open through Dec. 3

PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society’s Christmas in Pendleton Show is ongoing despite the cancellation of the show’s namesake event in town.

The show recently opened with the judging of entries, which will be on display through Dec. 3 at Gallery 119 in Pendleton.

The gallery, located at 119 W. State St., is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Winners

First Place — Joan Valente for her oil painting “Sun Dance in the Garden.”

Second Place — Carla Corben for her mixed media work “On the Banks of the River of Time.”

Third Place — Barry Gray for his acrylic painting “Clear Mountain Water.”

People’s Choice — Tamara Magers, for her mixed media work “Grandma’s Bag Of Toys.”

Special Merit — Diane Burrell, for her acrylic/palette knife work “September Morning.”

Honorable Mentions — Katy Burke for oil painting “Napolise Sisters;” Gini Deaton for her oil work “Roses on Lace;” Welby Thomas Cox Jr. for acrylic work “Tree of Life;” Susan Fullen for her photograph “Owl.”
