East stars win inaugural HHBA all-star game

KNIGHTSTOWN — Led by members of the Pendleton Legends, the East All-Stars beat the West All-Stars 133-129 in the inaugural Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association All-Star Game at Hoosier Gym in Knighstown, Saturday, April 3.

Former Pendleton Heights and Butler star Kellen Dunham, a member of the Legends, had 34 points and 13 rebounds. DeVonte Smith had a team-high 39 points and 14 rebounds. Troy Taylor had 11 assists and five steals. Asauhn Tatum had 19 points.

The West’s Jeff Early led all scorers with 43 points.

The Legends, one of four teams in the new professional basketball league, led the league standings with a 5-1 record.
