PENDLETON — Pendleton Heights wrestler Jackson Todd came away with a 4-4 record during Greco-Roman competition in Westfield June 9-13.

Along with other members of Team Indiana Gold, Todd wrestled at 138 pounds in the 2021 16U National Duals. The team is comprised of all state champions from an earlier meet where Todd won his division.

They faced other state teams including Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California and Minnesota, moving through the brackets with wins and losses.

At the end of the tournament, Todd’s team placed sixth in the nation.

The event was also preparation for USA Wrestling’s 2021 U.S. Marine Corp Junior and 16U Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota from July 16 to 23. This is the 50th year for the event, which includes men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle competition.
