Former PH softball coach inducted into ICGSA Hall of Fame

PENDLETON — Scott Hall, who spent 10 seasons leading the Pendleton Heights High School softball program, was inducted into the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association’s Hall of Fame at a ceremony Friday, June 18, at Decatur Central High School.
Hall, currently the head coach at Butler University, was the Arabians’ coach from 2000-10. During his time at Pendleton Heights, he led the team to four state finals appearances, including state runner-up finishes in 2001 and 2005.
In 2005, he was named the Indiana High School Softball Coach of the Year. In 2006, his Arabians’ club earned a Top 25 national ranking.
Hall’s high school teams won eight conference championships, eight sectional titles and four regional crowns.
Along with leading the Arabians to years of postseason success, Hall was selected Madison County Coach of the Year twice (2003, 2008), Hoosier Heritage Conference Coach of the Year four times (2003, 2005, 2007, 2008) and district coach of the year on four occasions (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007).
Twenty-nine of his former players received college scholarships, including 16 at the Division I level.
He took over at Butler in 2011 and led the team to a Big East Tournament championship in 2016.
Hall is being recognized for his high school coaching career as well as his work on the ICGSA Softball committee.
