LAPEL — Parker Allman, a two-sport standout at Lapel High School, was one of 10 players selected to the 2021 Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 2A All-State team, as voted on by coaches.

The all-state team was released last week.

Allman was selected as the first baseman.

Others on the team included: pitchers Owen Willard (Eastside) and Brady Linkel (South Ripley), catcher Joel Kennedy (Monroe Central), second baseman Alex VanWinkle (Union County), third baseman Gavin Lash (Wapahani), shortstop Landen Southern (Clinton Prairie) and outfielders CJ Richmond (Park Tudor), Dane DuBois (Cascade) and Andrew Wiggins (Heritage Christian).

Allman hit .455 this season with 12 doubles, nine home runs and 37 RBI.

Earlier this summer, Allman played in the Indiana North-South All-Star series.

A standout on the Bulldogs football team, too, Allman plans to play football this fall at Marian University.
