Betty J. Scott, 84, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Community Hospital.

She was born August 24, 1936, in Tennessee to the late, Kirby & Bertha Cantrell.

Betty was a loving Wife, devoted Mother, and joyful Nana. She was an animal lover having many pets over the years. She retired from Guide Lamp after almost 50 years. Betty truly enjoyed her life.

Betty is survived by her husband of 48 years, Carl Scott; children, Robin Norris, Chris Norris, Cinda Scott, Joe (Fayrene) Scott and Terry (April) Scott; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Jean) Cantrell and Burns Cantrell; Sister-in-Law Reba Cantrell; many nieces & nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Coy Norris; Siblings, Susie Smith, Bessie Carr, Illa Carr, Ross Cantrell, Doyle Cantrell, LE Hammock, and Ula Mae Hargis; Son, Jeffrey Scott; and Cherished Grandson Nicholas Norris.

Services were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial was at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 2996 East State Road 236, Anderson, IN 46017.
