PENDLETON — YMCA of Madison County is gearing up for the opening of its new Early Learning Childcare Facility in Pendleton.

An open house with tours is planned for Sept. 6-10, with a grand opening set for Monday, Sept. 13, at 1 Plaza Drive, Suite 5, in Fall Creek Plaze.

The Pendleton YMCA branch has offered childcare in partnership with Pendleton Christian Church for two years, but the new facility will allow the organization “to accommodate more families in the childcare program,” according to a press release sent by Madeline Boldery, a spokeswoman for YMCA Madison County.

Shortly after starting its work with the church, “the high need of childcare and the shortage of space became evident,” the release states.

The new facility will offer full- and partial-day childcare options.

The YMCA will continue its before and after care services for Pendleton Christian Church Preschool Services.

“We thank them for their ongoing support of the childcare program in Pendleton and continued support as we expand childcare services for the community,” the press release states.

To schedule a tour of the new facility, people are asked to contact Sarah Pierce at [email protected] or 765-623-6675.
