PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society announced the winners of the South Madison Visual Art Show recently at Gallery 119 in Pendleton.

Winners are:

Best In Show: John Silvey, for his acrylic painting “1923.”

Runner-up: Brenda Jarrett, for her photograph “Memories of Morning.”

People’s Choice: Kenny Humphrey for his image “Mystical Lighthouse.”

Merit Award: John Erwin for his drawing “Reading on a Stump.”

Maria Pichardo, a longtime arts educator, was judge for the event.

The exhibit was made possible through the South Madison Community Foundation Arts Fund, which was established by the children of Robert E. and Vinetta A Wills, in honor of their mother Vinetta A Wills, and is hosted by the local Tri Kappa chapter.

The exhibit is on display at the gallery, 119 W. State St., through Sept 28. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
