Shawn Edward Rector, 57, of Pendleton, passed away on November 24, 2021 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born on February 9, 1964 in Anderson to Connie Rector and Joe “Kent” Rector.

Shawn was self-employed in the construction industry. He loved being outdoors, hunting and working with his hands.

Shawn is survived by his parents, Connie Rector of Pendleton and Joe “Kent” Rector of Huntsville; aunt, Cindy McNutt; several cousins and his pet companion, Luna.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ilene and Wayne Scott; uncle, Cary Scott; aunt, Susie Conner and grandmother, Thelma Rector.

Per Shawn’s wishes there will be no services. Cremation will take place.

Memorial Contributions may be made to any animal rescue establishment of the donor’s choice.
