Lapel Community Association announced the winners of its inaugural Light Up Lapel Christmas decorating contest.

Denny and Theresa Price won first place and a $100 prize in the residential category for their home display.

“This house was magical!” organizer Andrea Baldwin wrote in an email. “The North Pole sign pointed us to our Residential Christmas Decorating contest winner! Santa with his reindeer along with bears, a rocking horse, snowmen and much more showed us all the joy of lights during the Christmas season.”

Cooper Insurance Service won first place in the business category.

“A couple of bright reindeer take center stage in Cooper Insurance holiday window display, while the other window has two glistening trees,” Baldwin stated. “The inside fireplace, along with snowflakes and balls hanging from the ceiling complete the look.”

Baldwin said the association plans to conduct the contest annually, with details about next year’s contest to be made available at the 2022 Lapel Village Fair.
