Weatherman to speak to retired teachers

ANDERSON — Longtime meteorologist Kevin Gregory will speak to the Madison County Retired Teachers’ luncheon at noon Thursday, May 5, at Anderson Country Club.

Madison County Retired Teachers’ Association is open to any retired teacher or school staff member living or having worked in Madison County.

Gregory and his father, Bob Gregory, together have been presenting weather forecasts on Indianapolis television for the past 50 years.

Kevin Gregory is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Purdue University and was honored with the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 1987. He was also an All-Big Ten tennis player. He has an additional degree in meteorology from the Mississippi State Broadcasting Meteorology Program.

Gregory also teaches children at Kevin’s Weather Camps and leading a toy drive to help families in need during the holiday season.

Registration will begin half an hour before the luncheon.
