ANDERSON — Songwriter Steve Wallace has been nominated for Songwriter Achievement awards in the Eighth Annual Josie Music Awards, which are set for Oct.23 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville,Tennessee.

He has two chances to receive the honor based on evalutions of his songs “Heidi” and “The Bible Is my Guide.”

Wallace also celebrated 41 years as a songwriter on May 15.

In his 41 year career, he has written more than 200 songs and won 71 awards all while battling a disabling neurological disorder that affects his muscles and speech.
