June Jamboree: Crowds enjoy the fun during Pendleton’s annual festival

From Elephant Ears, K-burgers and a huge assortment of rides – nearly 20 on the midway this year – the Pendleton Lions Club June Jamboree returned last week.

The annual celebration, often called the unofficial start of summer, was held June 7-11 at Historic Falls Park in Pendleton.

Along with the enjoyment that goes with the carnival atmosphere, the yearly festival, put on by the Pendleton Lions Club, raises money for the organization.

The Lions Club uses the funds from the jamboree for community needs.

Luehr’s Ideal Rides has provided midway entertainment for the event for over 50 years.
