MUNCIE — Ball State University’s Honors College recently announced that Gabriel Minichiello of Pendleton is one of eight students to receive the Whitinger Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year.

Whitinger Scholarships — the signature scholarship program of the Honors College — supplement Ball State’s Presidential Scholarships or similar Ball State awards to cover tuition and those University fees which automatically accrue for a full-time student.

Minichiello is majoring in Wildlife Biology and Conservation

This scholarship honors Dr. Ralph J. Whitinger, a 1929 graduate who served many years as the first president of the Ball State University Foundation.
