PENDLETON — This year’s Pendleton Lions Club Fishing Derby attracted 31 competitors to the pond at Falls Park on Saturday Sept. 17.
For many of the children, it was the first time they had caught fish, derby, organizers said.
“The success of the event was seen in the smiles and excitement of the catch,” organizers wrote in an email to The Times-Post. “Two youngsters went home with brand new fishing poles, Collins Becker and Christian Eaton.”
