Martial arts students earn second dan

PENDLETON — Three students at Iron Horse Martial Arts recently earned the rank of second dan blackbelt.

Quinn Sisson, Andrea Kopanski and Nathan Bradfield had to wait of at least two years before being elligible to advnce to second dan after earning their initial blackbelts.

Theri training involved advancing through a series of ranks and demonstrating skills proficiency through hours of testing.

The promotions ended with each athlete breaking through a minimum of two bricks while receiving their updated blackbelts under the guidance of sixth-degree Master Myron Gerber.

Kopanski and Sisson attend Pendleton Heights High School.

Iron Horse is located at 739 E. Water St., Pendleton.
