PENDLETON — Hometown Christmas in Falls Park — a walk-through or drive-thru holiday light display — was lighted for Christmas in Pendleton last month, and continues through the beginning of January.

Participating families and businesses “make our beautiful Falls Park sparkle during the Christmas season,” said Jo Scott, a board member of Friends of Falls Park, which organizes the installation and related activities.

“Each of them come up with their display idea, then generously pay for the decorations and give of their time to see that their display is set up,” Scott said. “These folks have continued to provide this service each year. We encourage everyone to support these businesses, non-profit groups and civic organizations.”

The light displays will be turned on from dusk to dawn daily.

Friends of Falls Park also plan weekly celebrations inlcuding free hot chocolate and other activities from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17.
