Group annouces ‘Art Studies’ winners

PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society announced the winners its Art Studies Show at Gallery 119 in downtown Pendleton.

The show was for beginner and amateur artists consisting of art that was done in any class or via online instruction.

Winners were chosen at the PAS First Friday event with winners receiving cash prizes. Jeff Jackson judged the show. Dr. Kenneth Lau sponsored the event.

Linda McKean won first place ($100) with the acrylic work “Floating Flowers.”

Lauren Davis won second place ($75) with “Egyptian Death Portrait,” an acrylic and molding paste piece, and Jacqueline Harris won third place ($55) for the acrylic work “Monet Memories.”

The People’s Choice award ($20) went to Cam DeVore for “Sunshine Day,” an ink on paper work.

Earning Honorable Mentions were Lauren Davis for the glass and concrete work “Peacock of Many Colors” and Isabelle Martin for “Copper,” a glass-and-concrete work.

The show will be on display through Feb. 2 at the gallery, 119 W. State St., Pendleton.

Regular hours are 11 to 4 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays.
