Gallery names photo show winners

PENDLETON — Pendleton Artists Society announced the winners of its 2023 Photography Show, which will continue at Gallery 119 through March 29.

Myron Cochran was judge for PAS’ First Friday event on March 4.

Russell Hays won First Place — and a $75 prize — with “Too Few, Too Many, Final Assault”

Awards were given to winners st Place-$75.00, 2nd Place-$40.00, 3rd Place-$30.00 and People’s Choice- $20.00. The Ketring Foundation is sponsor of the show.

Winners

Sarah Matern placed second ($40 award) with “Ladder of Opportunity,” and Lizzy Ledbetter placed second ($30) with”That’s Fine.”

The People’s Choice Award — based on votes cast by those at the First Friday event — went to Aaron McDermott for “Step Back.”

A Merit Award went to Brenda Jarrett for “Midwest Morning,” and Honorable Mentions went to Don Saxon for “Fall Creek Colors,” Russell Hays for “Bodie California Ghost Town” and Aaron McDermott for “Coasting.”

The gallery is located at 119 W. State St. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
