LAPEL — Lapel high schools’ class of 2023 celebrated graduation on Sunday, June 4. The 125th annual ceremony took place at 5 p.m. inside Lapel High School.
This year’s class – made up of 123 students – took on the motto “As good as anyone can be, we’re the class of 2023”, and had class colors of Navy, Lavender and Silver. The class flower was the Yellow Rose.
Speakers at the event included class representatives Gracie Lyons, Hallie Wilkins and Tyler Lutz, and Class President Deannaya Haseman.
Principal Matthew Boles presented the class, and Superintendent Sterling Boles handed out the diplomas.
The Lapel Band performed “Aladdin”, and the choir sang “Until We Sing Again”.
Along with the class of 2023, the class of 1973 was recognized.
