SOUTH MADISON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving said it plans to close part of State Road 13 south of Lapel for the next two months.

According to IDOT, beginning on or after Monday, Sept. 18, crews will close State Road 13 in both directions between State Road 38 and County Road 400S.

“This closure will allow crews to complete a bridge demolition and reconstruction,” IDOT said in a press release. “This work is expected to be complete mid November, weather permitting.”

The official detour for this project is State Road 38 to State Road 32.
