INDIANAPOLIS — The Times-Post earned 19 awards at the 2024 Hoosier State Press Association Foundation Journalism Conference and Awards Luncheon at Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport on Friday.
The awards include General Excellence, an award based on a point total determined by the number of first-, second- and third-place awards earned in the paper’s division (non-dailies with a circulation of less than 1,500): 10 points for first, 6 points for second and 2 points for third.
In addition to seven first-place, five second-place and five third-place awards, The Times-Post won the contest’s Photo of the Year, which is awarded to one photo judged to be the best in all divisions.
The content has four divisions, daily and non-daily, with circulations of either more or less than 1,500.
There were 21 award categories, plus General Excellence, Photo of the Year and Story of the Year. Entries had to be published between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024.
