PENDLETON — The Pendleton Artists Society at Gallery 119 will be having an Art Studies Show from Jan. 7 to Feb. 3.

This show consists of any artwork that has been done in a class or a copied work that has been done to improve the artist’s skill.

Dr. Kenneth Lau is sponsor for the show.

First Friday is set for 6-8:30 p.m. Jan. 7 at the gallery, 119 W. State St., Pendleton.

Fran Auker, Diane Burrell and Chicqiela Elbert-Velazco wll be collaborating judges for the event.

The public is invited to choose their favorite artwork for a People’s Choice Award.

Prizes awarded will be first place — $200, second place — $75, third place — $50 and People’s Choice — $25.

The show run through January. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
