Oma Land, 79, Lebanon, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon following a brief illness.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1931, in London, Ky. to Delbert and Sintha (Norton) Root.
She is survived by five children, Ruby Cornett, Harold Land, Diane Murphy, Duane Land, and Cathy Miller; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dallas Land; and a son, Gerald Land.
A funeral service was held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel where Rev. Raymond Weiss officiated. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation was from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
