Bonnie (Young) Girton, 78, passed away April 29, 2012, at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born August 22, 1933, in Ingalls and was a lifelong Madison County resident.
She attended Pendleton Schools.
Bonnie was employed as a CNA and QMA, retiring from Rawlins House after 17 years service. She attended Eastview Church of the Nazarene in Anderson.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Rawlings and family of Lafayette; a son, William David Girton and grandson, Jonathan Girton of Paducah, KY; sister, Betty Lawson of Pendleton; special nephew, Butch (Jill) Fesler and several other nieces and nephews; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Lahm Chapel. Services were at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Thomas Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
