Margaret M. Harris, 88, Lapel, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, following a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 8, 1924, in Noblesville to Charles and Helen (Bobst) Sylvester.

She is survived by one daughter, Helen (Steven) Chambers of

Anderson; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Woodrum and Shirley Melton; one brother, Marvin Sylvester; a special nephew and special friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William  F. Harris; and her son, Fred Carson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.  Burial will follow in Cicero Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
