PENDLETON — The Pendleton Heights boys swimming and diving team capped a successful week with wins against Mt. Vernon and New Castle.

Landis Hollingsworth, Luke Wihebrink, Evan Fredericks and Cameron Kordes were two-event winners in the 91-85 defeat of the visiting Marauders.

Hollingsworth earned his firsts in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.85 and the 100 freestyle in 50.08.

Wihebrink brought home wins in the 200 freestyle in 1:55.37 as well as 100 backstroke with a time of 57.67. Fredericks won the 200 IM in 2:07.69 and came back later to win the lengthy 500 freestyle with a time of 5:24.52.

Kordes took the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.95 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.97.

In other events, the 200 medley relay team of Wihebrink, Kordes, Hollingsworth and Elliott Claxon won the contest in 1:48.

Hollingsworth, Fredericks, Wihebrink and Kordes teamed up to win the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:30.57.

At New Castle, the Arabians took control early in the 107-48 win over the Trojans.

The Arabians won 9 of the 12 events, with Hollingsworth winning the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly.

Wihebrink claimed first in the 200 freestyle, while Fredericks won the 50 freestyle.

Earl took first in the 500 freestyle, and Kordes won the 100-yard backstroke.

The Arabian medley relay team of Wihebrink, Kordes, Fredericks and Claxon took first, while the team of Fredericks, Earl, Claxon and Hollingworth claimed the 200 freestyle relay.

In the final event, the 400 freestyle relay, the winning team was Hollingsworth, Wihebrink, Earl and Kordes.

The Arabians played host host Liberty Christian Tuesday, Jan. 24.
