YORKTOWN — Pendleton Heights dropped its final team match of the regular season Monday as it fell to conference foe Yorktown 3-2.

But Pendleton Heights could not muster another victory as the Tigers won the other three matches.

Brielle Boynton and Claire Goodwin battled into a third set in the No. 2 doubles match, which wound up deciding the match. But Megan Simpson and Anna Rosenthall prevailed for Yorktown, outlasting the Arabian duo 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.

The Arabians will open sectional play at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Vernon sectional when they play New Palestine.
