PENDLETON–Lowering scores is a sign of improvement for the Pendleton Heights girl golfers. Wednesday, they had their best team performance, but came up just a few strokes short.

Sophomore Danielle Tinsley shot a 41 and the Arabians posted a season best score, but fell to Hamilton Southeastern at Fall Creek Golf Club 190-193.

“This was the first match we had a score under the 200 mark and that means we are heading in the right direction,” coach Hilary Slick said.

Senior Kiersten Maxwell fired a 45 and junior Haley Brown came in with a 46, a new personal best. Freshman Ryann Norris filled out the scoring for the Arabians with a 61.

“The girls are playing better with each match,” Slick said. “I am very pleased with the scores they are starting to post.”

The Arabians will host Knightstown later today as a final tune-up before Saturday’s Madison County meet at The Edge in Anderson.
