ANDERSON–Pendleton Heights boys’ soccer entered their match at Anderson riding a four-game losing streak where they had failed to score a goal.

Both droughts came to an end Wednesday evening.

Drew DeLey booted home the go-ahead goal with 10 minutes remaining and goal keeper Andrew Clemons made the lead stand up as Pendleton Heights edged Anderson 2-1.

Brennan Jones ended the scoring skid with a first half goal for Pendleton Heights (4-4) and a 1-0 halftime lead.

Anderson (0-4-1) tied the game after the break on a goal by Rafael Garza. But DeLey found the back of the net late in the game to return the lead to the Arabians.

Clemons made several saves in the closing moments to seal the win for Pendleton Heights.

The Arabians will begin a stretch of three straight HHC games when they travel to Yorktown Tuesday for a 7 p.m. start.
